Katherine 
Orr

Katherine Orr is a senior at the University of Oklahoma completing a dual bachelors program in Russian and International Security Studies. She is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana and came to OU because of the Russian program and the vibrant campus. Katherine began working with The Listening Project during an Honors course and enjoys working with oral history because it allows her to connect with and understand people on a deeper level. She believes that it is important to share and record oral histories because they provide unique insight into personal challenges and experiences that can build community among storytellers and listeners. In addition to The Listening Project, Katherine is on the student board of the OU Food Pantry and is in the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and enjoys conducting linguistic and comparative political research.
